Barb’s Cakery  specializes in wedding cakes offering many styles and designs.  We strive to provide the highest quality product and friendly, personalized service to all brides.  Please refer to these FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS for answers to common inquiries.

Do you have a variety of designs?

We have many designs in our portfolios to choose from.  You may furnish your own design and we can discuss how we will be able to reproduce it. There is no extra charge for most special designs.

Do you deliver?

Yes.  We deliver Wedding Cakes FREE in the Fresno / Clovis area Tuesday through Saturday (wedding cakes with a minimum of three tiers only).  Out of town and Sunday deliveries are charged according to the mileage and time involved.  We set up the cake at the reception site and coordinate with the facility and florist.  At this time, we unfortunately are unable to deliver special occasion cakes.

When should I place my order?

For Wedding Cake orders during months with dates of high demand, such as April, May, June, August, September and October we recommend six to eight months in advance.  For other dates, three to four months should be sufficient.  We prepare a limited number of wedding cakes each week in order to maintain our high quality and provide personalized service to each bride.  One weeks notice for special occasion cakes is sufficient.

Must I make a deposit when I place my order?

For Wedding Cakes, a fifty dollar ($50) non-refundable date deposit is required to reserve a specific date.  For special occasion cakes, a deposit (partial payment) is due when the order is placed.  The balance can be paid when the order is picked up.  The balance must be received no later than three weeks before the delivery.  In addition to the cake price, a refundable security deposit is required to cover the equipment used in the cake presentation.  It is the client’s responsibility to return the equipment clean and in good condition.

May I sample cakes at Barb’s Cakery?

Yes!  We offer samples for upcoming Weddings.  We will be happy to give you one free sample of your choice, however, because we bake only to order, advanced notice is required. Additional samples are available at $3.00 per selection.  Please call or stop by to place a sample order.

How many choices will I have for cake flavors?

You may choose from twelve flavors of cake including Banana, Cherry, Chocolate, Lemon, Marble, Pineapple, Spice, Strawberry, White, Carrot, Red Velvet and White Chocolate Chip.  Also choose from twelve flavors of filling including Apricot, Blackberry, Cherry, Chocolate Fudge, Cream Cheese, Lemon, Marble, Pineapple, Raspberry, Spiced Apple, Strawberry and Vanilla Cream – mixing and matching as you desire at no additional charge. Other flavors may be available upon special request.
